Gauraj Pahadi Laal Sonthe (Red Lobia) Daal-Lobia (Black-eyed pea) is called Sonthe in the local language in Uttarakhand. The local variety of sonthe is red in colour. It is grown in the low and mid hills of Uttarakhand.
